Yesterday saw the 60th anniversary of the day yachtsman Francis Chichester left Plymouth to make history.
On 27 August 1966 Chichester sailed his ketch Gipsy Moth IV from Plymouth - and returned there after 226 days of sailing, having circumnavigated the globe, with one stop (in Sydney).
