Goodbye Hutong, hello Harman... and hello Millie!

The Hutong cafe at the gateway of the Royal William Yard has changed its name to Harman Bagels.

Emma, George and Jack Harman celebrated the new image for the premises they’ve run since 2021 by giving away one thousand free bagels on Thursday.

Harman Bagels will open seven days a week, from 7.30am to 2.30pm

Meanwhile a new café is establishing itself inside the RWYard. 21-year-old Millie Reynolds is the founder of DockSide Coffee Bar, which opened just before Christmas.

Millie said: “I love the sea and the idea of creating a homely coffee shop by the water. I want DockSide to be a warm and welcoming environment – somewhere people can come on their own or with loved ones, whether that's to chill, study, catch up with a friend, or just take a moment for themselves. It's my safe space, and I'm proud to be building it from scratch in exactly the way I envisioned."
